This is one of the walks in the book 'Exploring the Elizabeth Line' by Jeff Lock. It follows some rural paths north of Ealing Broadway then through Pitshanger and Perivale Parks before picking up section 8 of the Capital Ring which it follows down to Hanwell.

After some delays on the train I arrived at Ealing Broadway station around 11.15. The area around the station was fairly busy as expected.

But soon out into more countryfied areas and a large water tower.

Through Fox Wood Nature Reserve.

After a short stretch of road walking Pitsanger Park is entered.

The park is exited via a large bridge over the River Brent.

The attractive St Mary's Perivale, no longer a church but used for concerts and exhibitions. A short diversion into the churchyard. Just after here I had a pleasant carvery lunch in the Mylett Arms.

Now into Perivale Park.

At the far side of the park I rejoined the Brent and joined section 8 of the Capital Ring which I followed for the rest of this walk.

The walk now follows the Brent although it is mostly hidden behind vegetation.

The walk approaches and enters Brent River Park.

Inside the park, also known as the Bunny park, is Hanwell Zoo, a maze, and a cafe which seems to have closed.

Under Brunel's Wharncliffe Viaduct and along to Hanwell station where the walk ended and I made my way back to Reading and home.
