This is one of the walks in the book 'Exploring the Elizabeth Line' by Jeff Lock. It goes between Hayes and Harlington stations and largely follows the first half of London Loop section 11. Around four miles.
Setting off from Hayes and Harlington station I joined the Grand Union canal for a short walk.

The walk leaves the canal earlier than the London loop and enters Lake Farm country park, the first part of which is pleasant woodland.
It opens to a large park area later on with a BMX track and skate board park alongside. After leaving the park and after a short section of road woodland is entered by the Stockley Park business park.
Then the loop is rejoined as it heads towards Stockley Park.

More woodland. The overflow carpark for the golf club seems to be being redeveloped.

After passing alongside the golf course and then the club house the magnificent bridge over the A408 is crossed.
The view from the bridge. Adjacent is a artificial knoll which offers panoramic views.
Eventually the woodland walk rejoins the canal through the pleasant Weston Walk via steps.
Along the canal towards West Drayton station where I took the train back to Reading and home
